Survey finds more Canadians are in debt than a year ago

A new survey by BMO?has found Albertans have the highest level of debt payments of Canadians, coming in at over 12 hundred dollars a month.

The?Pollara study of just over one thousand people last week also found?more Canadians are in debt this year, and are taking longer to settle up their accunts.

83 people admitted to being in some form of debt. That is up from 74 percent a year ago. That's an increase from 74 per cent a year ago.

While Albertans had the highest debt payments, Quebecers had the lowest at 768 dollars.?
