Stainless Steel Spending: The Zippo Wallet

Price: $49

The design of the Zippo Wallet gives a new user reasons to doubt it.? Made of two sheets of stainless steel bolted to a rubber strap, the wallet has connective material that looks like it would be prone to tear and slots for credit cards that seem to invite slippage. As it turns out, the wallet?s construction is just fine? none of those problems manifested themselves in our two-week test.

The wallet does force its user to make some radical lifestyle choices, though, including a forced wallet diet. With only 6 slots and no pouches, only the most useful cards will make it out of the home. Team Zippo obviously believe the cashless society is upon us, since so few bills fit in thing thing, and you can forget about storing any loose change. (Spare penny dishes and tip jars will overflow if these gain popularity.) If only Zippo could have incorporated a billfold, this would be a keeper.
