In 2005, APC originally selected TouchStar to deliver an advanced mobile computing solution to their pest control field technicians. That automation technology has increased efficiency and greatly simplified the field technicians? data collection, record keeping and report generation tasks by incorporating critical functionality, including: inspections, invoicing and now payment through Mint Wireless? mobile payment software and the Mint Managed Payment Service. The solution will provide APC the ability to accept Credit Card payments and Electronic Funds Transfer at Point-of-Sale (EFTPOS) transactions for the collection of payments from customers.

Mick Farr, General Manager, Amalgamated Pest Control, said, ?Mobile computing provides our field technicians with the ability to deliver high-quality service to our customers and further allows us to deliver process benefits through the total removal of paper-based systems.? Farr continued, ?Adding Mint Wireless card payments functionality to our already field-proven TouchStar?ServiCE?solution will allow us to improve our cash flow and ultimately facilitate all card payment options for our customers.?

The new mobility payment solution will be deployed in two phases, starting in February 2012 with 150 devices and licenses. An additional 150 mobile computers will be installed during the second quarter of 2012, once the initial rollout has been successfully completed.
